It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Horace A. "Hank" Johnson, who passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 16, 2018. A lifelong Pennsylvania resident, Hank graduated from East Stroudsburg University before serving his country as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He graduated from the Dickinson School of Law in 1958 and earned a Masters of Laws Degree in taxation from New York University in 1962. Hank joined this firm, then known as Myers, Myers & Flower, in 1963 and quickly became one of the most respected attorneys in south central Pennsylvania.

Over the course of his long career, Hank represented countless clients with great alacrity and integrity, and derived great pleasure in mentoring young attorneys in the practice of law. In addition to his professional achievements, Hank was a community leader. He served on the governing boards of numerous governmental, civic, and church organizations.

Hank's commitment to the practice of law and his sense of civic duty were surpassed only by his love for his late wife, Jean, their four children and ten grandchildren, and the game of golf.

Although 87 years old at the time of his death, Hank continued to come to the office each day, sharing a smile, good humor, and bits of wisdom. While his presence will be missed, we take solace in the enduring impact that Hank had on Johnson Duffie and our clients.

The Johnson family has announced that a visitation will be held at the Myers‐Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA 17011, on Sunday September 23rd from 11am to 1:30 pm. Services will follow immediately after at the funeral home. http://www.myers‐‐of‐memories/3612126/Johnson‐Horace/obituary.php
