Since 1985, Mr. Statler has concentrated his practice in the defense of commercial trucking, automobile liability, and underinsured/uninsured motorist and bad faith claims. He has successfully tried over 80 jury trials to verdict in both state and federal courts throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania. Mr. Statler has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in the field of personal injury defense.

He is a member of the Cumberland County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA), and Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association. He was a member of the Lawyers' Advisory Committee, United States District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania from 1992 to 1995 and served as Chairman from 1994 to 1995.

For over 20 years, Attorney Statler served as an adjunct professor at the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University for the Trial Advocacy course.

Mr. Statler serves on the firm's Management Committee which is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business and administrative functions of the Firm.

Mr. Statler is the author of: "The Owner/Operator Presumption-Defense of Automobile Liability Cases," Counterpoint, February, 1987; "Defending the UIM Carrier at Underinsured Motorist Arbitrations," Counterpoint, October, 1987; "Mary Carter Settlement Agreements: A Primer," Counterpoint, January, 1993.

He is a member of Silver Spring Presbyterian Church where he served as a member of the Board of Trustees and the Fellowship Committee.

John resides in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Elizabeth.
